Mainstay WordPress theme for local service businesses

What it is

Mainstay is a WordPress block theme we designed and built for local service businesses: plumbers first, and other trades such as electricians, locksmiths and roofers. It is made for the customer who needs help now, so every page leads to a phone call or a quote request.

The live demo is a made-up plumbing company, Maple Falls Plumbing Co. Everything on it works, except that the business, reviews and phone number are not real and the quote form sends nothing.

What visitors get

• Calling is one tap away: the phone number in the top bar, the hero and the footer, and a call and quote bar fixed to the bottom of the screen on phones.
• A short quote form: three steps: what they need, when, and how to reach them.
• A page for each service: with its own icon and price line, plus the towns the business covers.
• Reasons to trust the business: opening hours, an emergency service line, licence, trust points and reviews with stars.

For the business owner

The business name, phone, email, opening hours, service areas, licence and trust points are filled in once, on one settings page, and appear everywhere they are needed. Quote requests arrive by email and are kept in a Quote requests list in the admin, with statuses and notes. Services and reviews have their own sections, and demo content imports in one click. No page builder is needed: everything is edited in the normal WordPress editor.

For Google and ads

Mainstay writes the business details Google reads (schema) for the business and for each service, from the same settings. Calls and quote requests can be tracked as events in Google Analytics 4 and the Meta Pixel, ready for Google or Meta ads.

For developers

The theme is translation-ready, with documented hooks, a REST route and its own post types for services, reviews and quote requests. A companion plugin, Mainstay Core, holds the features, so the theme stays light.

Support and updates

Every licence includes 12 months of updates and 12 months of help with installing, importing the demo and using the theme’s features. If the theme does not work as described on your site and we cannot fix it, tell us within 14 days for a full refund. The details are in our terms.
